E começam os preparativos da viagem. Neste domingo comecei a fazer as malas. Na viagem do último congresso eu comprei uma mala mole, algo que recomendam no TPA. Nas últimas três viagens eu utilizei uma mala dura, que dizem que dificulta o transporte no avião e no navio.

Ao fundo temos a mala amarela e preta, para levar nas costas, a prova d’agua, que peguei emprestada. Em cinza a mala nova e em verde e azul as mini malas que vão dentro da mala cinza, para ajudar na organização.

Eu tenho um checklist do que eu preciso levar, que uso em todas as viagens Antárticas:

• 3 Camisetas de manga longa
• 4 Camisetas
• 2 Camisetas pijama
• 1 Calça Moleton
• 2 Fleeces
• 2 Segunda pele – topo
• 2 Segunda pele – calça
• 1 Blusa lã
• 3 Meias grossas
• 5 Meias finas
• 1 Gorro
• 1 Cachecol
• 1 luva
• 1 luva fina
• 1 Shorts
• 8 Cuecas
• 2 Calças
• 1 Blusa de dormir

Sem contar o material que recebo do Proantar, a roupa especial para frio. Eu tento levar o mínimo possível de roupa, sempre as mais velhas que tenho no armário!

Esqueci de tirar uma foto das roupas antes de colocar na mala. Mas ainda falta colocar na mala os itens que não são roupa. Como ainda tem uma semana para a viagem, faço isso na sexta feira.

And the preparation begins! This Sunday I started the packing. I bought a new bag in my last trip, because my old bag wasn’t the kind of bag that the Navy recommends. The price was good and the old bag was too old. According to them, this kind of bag is easier to transport in the plane and in the ship. But I’ll miss the wheels of the old bag.

I have a checklist that I follow when I’m packing to Antartica, I’ve been using it for the last three trips:

• 3 Long sleeve T-shirts
• 4 T-shirts
• 2 T-shirts pajamas
• 1 Sweatpants
• 2 Fleeces
• 2 Second Skin – top
• 2 Second Skin – pants
• 1 Wool sweater
• 3 Heavy Socks
• 5 Light socks
• 1 Knit cap
• 1 Scarf
• 1 gloves
• 1 light gloves
• 1 Shorts
• 8 underwear
• 2 pants
• 1 light sweater – to sleep

Without listing the material that I receive from Proantar, the cold gear. I try to take the minimal possible ammount of clothing, and always the oldest clothing that I have in the wardrobe!

I forgot to take a picture of the cloths before putting them in the bag, but I’m not finished yet, as I need to pack the non cloth itens. But I still have time for that.
